i fucked up
the new job was shit
so when i was offered to either work all the hours under the sun (around 60+ a week and only be paid for 40) or leave today, with a month's pay and spend the time looking for a new job
that's exactly what i did
so now i'm unemployed
add to that the fact that because i quit without having a job to go to, the lovely lady told me to move out and ended our relationship
i can understand her POV because without a job to go to i can't provide for us and therefore there's no stability in our lives
so i started the day with a job, a house and a family, i end it with nothing

ok so i'm still alive people
i've been busy with work, and i've not got internet access anymore there, and at the moment i'm still working on getting access at home, that should be about 2-3 weeks away before i get that all sorted!

one week on
well i started my new job
and i love it
it's so nice and i've really enjoyed working there this week.
so far i've played tennis, had my gym induction, got shown how to make coffee and had a jolly off
to nottingham
worst day so far though was the day when i put my shoes on top of the car and got in, leaving them on top, i then drove off and forgot all about them until i got to within 5 miuntes of work and realised what i'd done...someone somewhere had a nice new pair of shoes and i had to go and buy a nicer newer pair...bloody typical
see it really does happen to people!
anyway i've managed to come down with a cold in the last couple of days which sucks! bu i've got today off (because i'm working tomorrow)
sorry i've not played this week, not TMI or HNT...i've still not sorted out getting a phone line, let alone b/band at the flat, but once i've finished this i will be taking the computer there, so slowly i'll be sorting it out!

friday fun
it's friday
it's my last day
which means i doubt i'll be able to update as often when i start my new job, which means i'll need to get a phone line and then the broadband linked to our flat
actually that's something i could do now...cunning!
felling pretty tired at the moment (and hungry) got up and was in work this morning about half 6 this morning because i needed to get some work done...means i might be able to leave early...seeing as it's my last day i don't think they'll fire me for it!
i've found all my leads and camera, so i'll be able to upload some pics...not that i'll be able to blog them though lol ho-hum
interesting comments on yesterday's HNT (linny apparently we're a couple)
found my BMG beanie yesterday, so because it was cold this morning and it was way to early to sort my hair out i've got it on...i like my beanie :)
speaking of hair, i need mine cut sometime soon, thinking of shaving it all down short, not sure yet though...we shall see
was sick last night...first time in ages, the lady thinks it's down to stress (this last week at work has been hell because the spanish guy left me a pile of large quotes that should've been done in germany and or that he's had them for a couple of weeks before handing them over to me, so i've been getting in the shit as a result...wanker!
anyway it's my last day today, so it doesn't matter
need to make sure that i've got rid of everything of my computer later. and that i've got everything out of my drawers too...don't want to be leaving anything behind really!
guess i should crack on... :o(

currently have a crush on kate beckinsale, although i used to have a big thing for kate winslet, that was about 10 years ago
3. Do you excuse yourself to “fart” or let it rip and blame the guy next to you?
depends on the company, normally i'll just let rip and then say pardon after if its audible anyway, if it's a silent one i don't say a word ;o)
4. When entering or exiting a store, do you hold the door open for the person behind you, if they're relatively close… if they're more than 10 steps away do you pause and hold the door open?
depends on what mood i'm in a guess, if i'm busy shopping, in my own world or in a rush, then i'll hold it for a bit, if i'm in a good mood or the person behind me looks nice then i'll hold it. I'll always hold it for pushchairs and elderly people though

my dongle HNT
Ok it's a bit of a twofer today...as some of you know i moved recently and in moving i have "misplaced" the cables for my camera...along with the camera!
but basically, because of this little baby (my new bluetooth dongle) i can now send pictures i take on my phone to my computer and post that way

as hinted in the above HNT post i've had some news about the interviews from last week
i actually had this news at the end of last week and chose not to share it with you guys then for my own personal reasons...however now i can reveal all
I got the fucking job!!!
how cool is that
i'm going to be the new operational support manager for david lloyd fitness in cowley. the money is more than i'm on now, the work is basicaly what i was doing when i was in the sport centre 18 months ago and well it rocks!
and to top it all off i get £1500 worth of free membership!
i handed in my notice as soon as i found out, but i've not told anyone else in the office as the boss has been away and today's his first day back in the office...from today i'll be telling people that i want to tell though
in other news
i met linny and her friend cathy last night
it was awesome
we had a really good time and a laugh and it was so cool to finally meet her!
i took them to a couple of the local pubs in oxford (the hobgoblin in carfax and the turf tavern) and we sat and chatted and had a drink and it was so relaxed and fun
bloggers meets is up by one, shame i'm not going to get the chance to meet FU when he's in london really...

last night when i toddled off to my bed...all i could hear was a bloody owl sitting outside my window, it wasn't cool!
then this morning, this morning the bloody peacock (yeah for some reason there are wild peacocks in our village) the bloody peacock was on the drive honking at me!
christmas is going to be good this year, although i'm not sure i'll fit the peacock in the oven!

HNT interview style
Ok so i'm going to a few interviews at the moment and so i thought i'd post a quick pic of what i've been wearing to them (although this pic is nearly 6 months old now)i was wearing contacts in this pic, i've not worn them since though, my eye's just haven't taken to them very well at all, so i've just not worn them, which is probably why my eye's haven't taken to them

the blue shirt and silver tie have become staple for my interviews at the moment (mainly because it's the only stuff i can find)

anyway, tuesday night, we (me and woja) went to see hayseed dixie
and fuck me it was awesome!
they're the band that i was talking about a while ago, they do country/bluegrass versions of rock classics, the first album they did was all AC/DC covers (hence the name hayseed dixie say it quickly a few times, you'll get it in the end)
they played loads of classic rock tunes, and threw in a few newer ones too...like greenday's holiday. and it was just amazing to watch! there was a guy on the banjo who was wicked bad, so good was he that woja decided there and then that he wants to learn to play himself. there was a guy on a mandolin (i think it was a mandolin anyway) and his hand was strumming so fast that at times it was just a blur! the bassist was huge...and looked to have modelled himself on james hetfield a little...he had some mean ass looking lambchop sideburns going on too!
they were filming for some reason too...i'm not complaining, it was cool!
and during the encore, the pulled frank skinner out from the back to play banjo with them on duelling banjos (that's such a familiar tune that i'm not going to go into it) and although he wasn't brilliant and in no way could he keep up with the band when they were in full swing, he gave it a good shot!!
it was really cool!
we had a blast
and they rocked us all night long! with a (nearly) 2 hour set and no warm-up/support act!!
and it was funny as hell watching these guys do the classic rock poses and things like that, including "shooting" the crowd with the acoustic bass and having the guy on the banjo and the guy on the mandolin do weird things that if i try to explain i'll just end up confusing people (maybe woja will leave a comment explaining the banjo test)

well the other day when i went to pick up errol's vivarium i was having a bit of a road trip with litlum giving my lovely lady a break and a change for her to destress and tidy up. we got about 3/4 of the way there and were making very good time, but i needed to pee and i needed to get a birthday card for my sister. as fortune would have it i spied a sainsburys superstore coming up and knowing that i'd be able to kill two birds with one stone i pulled in and unstrapped litlun for a quick wander around the shop with me. bless her, she's not quite 2 yet and know what sainsbury's is, she was trying to carry the shopping basket for me as well :)
anyway i got my sister a tasteful card, paid for it and asked the nice lady where the loo was. i found it was being cleaned, but that never bothers me, if i need to pee, then i have to pee, regardless of who else is there. i plopped litlun down by the sinks so that i could still keep an eye on her from the urinal, but at the same time i would have a little privacy from her. anyway i'm peeing when all of a sudden she pipes up with "shower" and is intently looking at me peeing, exclaiming "shower, shower!" to which i had to say "no, wee wee"...but she'd already walked over and was having a good look...
thankfully the only other person in there was the vleaner and he'd got his i-pod on so i don't think he heard our conversation...
i had to call her mum up and we had a good laugh about it, but if there had been anyone else in there i would've died with embaressment, especially if she'd gone up to them saying the same thing...
anyway, i'm planning a return to HNT tomorrow, although it's nothing too risquè i think, i can't remember what i've uploaded at the moment.
STILL working on the PX100 still only up to 50 i think, work keeps getting in the way!
thinned out the link bar, got rid of the who's commented hack as it didn't seem to be working properly :( got rid of a few people's links as they've not posted for a few months or over a year in someone's case...(left berly's on there for the time being though)
