HAPPY St PADDY'S DAY
so can someone tell me what's up with blogger? apparently i'm NOT authorised to veiw my own blog... EDIT: it would appear to be fixed now, but that doesn'texplain why when i posted this yesterday it didn't appear...dodgy, anyway fingers crossed it's ok now!
anyway sorry about that, got side tracked for a second!
so it's that day of the year when everyone becomes a little irish again, hence the green.
i myself might be tempted to partake in a few bevvies this evening, although i'm not a huge fan of the black stuff, i'll happily raise a few pints of something to celebrate!
let me know how you've celebrated (got inebriated)
song for the day: salty dog by flogging molly they are an awesome band, crossing the boundaries of californian punk and irish folk, i've seen them 3 or 4 times and every gig have been amazing, loved them all!!! so check them out if you can

other random stuff
not been in the best of moods this week, initially i though this was probably down to a lack of sleep, but i think it's more than that now.
mood has been lightened slightly by getting amazon to pay for the P&P on a couple of books i bought, they were trying to diddle me out of it, but apparently i'd not ticked a box that i should've to get the free P&P, so they've stumped it up out of kindness...
mood has been lightened by getting my latest in a large collection of wrestling dvd's...yes i know it's sad, no i don't care, yes i enjoy them, no i'm not 12, yes i know it's "fake" (i think a proper rant on the fakeness of wrestling is needed though and i might add that in a bit) 7 hours of matches was good, there were some very impressive bouts and some of these matches will be referred to in the aforementioned rant...
mood has been dulled by work
mood has been lightened by the prospect of a really good weekend, it's a mates stag do tomorrow, so i'm looking forward to that
mood has been lightened by an unexpected invitation out this evening, probably won't accept it, but it was nice to be invited anyway

right wrestling rant, i promise to make it relatively short.
i know wrestling isn't real, i mean it's classed as sports entertainment for a start, that kinda gives it away. but as for it being fake, no that i don't agree with, yes ok in the old days (the 80's) you did see people pulling punches, going down even though they were about 2 inches away from the other guys fist and you could finish a match with a leg drop of all things! but these days the matches are real, the moves are real, the blood is real, the injuries are real. i've seen footage of men breaking their necks, arms, legs, sustaining concussions, being hit with all manner of "weapons" and other objects, from the fairly standard trash can to VCR's and frying pans and even cream pies, although the latter obviously did little to injure the person. i've seen barb wire matches where the opponents have become attached to the wire, ripped their flesh and even wrapped themselves up in it to win. so the idea that the wrestling is fake is beyond me. however, the storylines and the pre-determined results and things like that do go a long way to making people thing it's fake and i'll agree there, but only there.

Song for Saturday:
choice of two for you this week...
violent pornography by system of a down - simple choice, it's a catchy song, admittedly it's not their best, but i like it. and it's been on in the car this week...
99 problems by jay-z (or by jay-z vs. linkin park) - essentially it's the same song, and i like both versions of it, and again the latter version has been in the car all week too...

anyway i should be getting on with work
laters peeps, enjoy the green day, the green beer and for those of you who partake just enjoy the green!!!

I'm getting the 403 error when I try to view quite a few blogs but if you just hit Refresh it generally sorts itself out.

Wrestlers are oversized gymnasts. There, I said it. *runs away*
